The final pairs: POSY VOULI-ANT1 & SDNA-GGA
After a thrilling mini-final of the Press – essentially a play-off to qualify for the Cup final – the ANT1 team managed to qualify in the penalty shootout with a 3-2 win against ALFA, who had dominated the match, leading twice with 3-1 and 4-3. The equalizer came in injury time with a header by their former player, Hadjipapas.
In the final of the 2024–2025 "Vangelis Alyssandratos" Cup, the ANT1 team will face the Parliamentary Employees team, which qualified directly for the final, as it finished first in Group B of the institution.
The ANT1 team had earlier been eliminated in the semi-finals of the Championship playoffs by the General Secretariat of Sports, with losses of 1-3 and 1-4 in double matches.
In the grand final of the Championship, the GGA team will face SDNA, which – ironically – had also eliminated ALFA, again in the "Russian roulette" of penalties, after two tied matches (4-4 and 1-1).
With great interest and with the presence of the Presidency of the Parliament and its Employees' Association, the two grand finals are expected to be held in May 31, at the Agios Dimitrios stadium.
